Naeberis (or "Naeberis the Elf"):
Alias of a punk guitarist by the name of Al Speight. After being transformed into a catlike mutant a couple of years ago, he discovered magical powers deep within himself and began constructing a series of ceremonies that he might amplify them into a spell of summoning. Two years and three days' worth of practise later, he's on the crest of beckoning something really terrible into the world, all for the sheer thrill of it and, if there's side effects, so be it!
He's fascinated by fantasy novels (especially where they stray into horror and into the erotic...) and styles himself in the image of a composite of his favourite characters.
Shumnki:
Not a willing practitioner of summoning magic, her unconscious Iamhnian power to channel Baelies into the bodies of those around her will nonetheless be of great help to the ephemeropterids. They're following her on her daily trips into the sinkholes and the wraeums they connect, trying to get possessed.
Ash "Dieback" Bradley:
The drummer for The Placeholders is infamous for camping out in the woods every night. Maybe it's cos she hates rent and is uncomfortable squatting, or maybe it's because she's maintaining her closeness to the land? Her bandmate and lover Holly Zola is also involved and just as devoted to the nixies and the Morad Way. The pair even have a moradling who invisibly protects them at every moment. Through a little xylomancy they're on to the ephemeropterids and other Moradlings are on Naeberis's trail. Cut to them attempting to batter the elf's door down...
